PROTOTYPING SPECIALTY PRODUCTS

If your need is to fabricate a new patented product or to outsource the fabrication of a new design, we can help you. From CAD Design through to Prototyping we have personnel on staff to support your project. For especially large projects we will staff or form strategic alliances with our suppliers to meet the need. Hansen’s welding prototyping experience ranges from mountain bicycles to Theme Park ride attractions.

Bulk Material Handling Pumps for application in the Electric Utility Industry:

A patented bulk material metering pump with application in coal fired power generation plants in the US and Asia required design for manufacturability from concept through to production.

This company’s products delivered 10-700 tons of coal per hour and ranged in size from 1-2 tons to over 15 tons for a single unit.

Hansen’s has been the sole source for this customer through our success in a wide range of new products for this Manufacturer.

Beverage Can Forming Machinery

For a manufacturer of Beverage Can forming machinery assisted in design for manufacturability of feeding systems, ramps, beds, shafts, gear boxes.

Mountain Bicycles

Fabricated the initial designs for numerous bicycle frames, peddles, and seat posts.

Gantry CNC Circuit Drilling Machines

High precision circuit board drilling equipment manufacturer outsources the manufacturing of all major components to Hansen’s Welding with the only exception being the electronic controls. Hansen’s has performed detailed cost reduction analysis, manufacturing value engineering, production prototyping for each component. Successful prototyping lead to Hansen’s receiving award of a major portion of the outsourced production for each of the respective components.

Automated Spot Welding Machines

Automated, elctro-hydraulic, spot welders were successfully prototyped and placed in operation. To date the prototypes have made millions of spot welds without machine downtime other than for normal maintenance.
